Apollo Tyres CFO Gaurav Kumar resigns as Whole-Time Director to pursue new personal and professional opportunities, effective August 6, 2026.

Gaurav Kumar has resigned as Whole-Time Director of Apollo Tyres Limited to pursue new personal and professional challenges outside the organisation, effective August 6, 2026. He will continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for such period as may be required to ensure a smooth transition.

Kumar is a finance and strategy professional with extensive experience across financial management, corporate strategy, compliance, corporate governance, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and business transformation. Earlier, as Group Head of Corporate Strategy & Finance at Apollo Tyres, he focused on strategic partnerships and business transformation initiatives.

Kumar began his career as a Management Trainee with UB Group in 1993 and has since held leadership roles across manufacturing, acquisitions, and corporate strategy. He joined Apollo Tyres in 2004 as Head of Corporate Strategy and was inducted into the company’s Management Board in 2010.

In his role as CFO, Kumar has been responsible for financial management, compliance, corporate governance, investor relations, and strategic growth initiatives. He has also played a key role in M&A, inorganic growth, and long-term financing for business projects.

Kumar holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and an MBA in Finance from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
