Deepak Sapra Resigns As CEO, API & Services At Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories

Deepak Sapra will step down as CEO of API & Services and Senior Management Personnel at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories to pursue opportunities outside the company, effective November 12, 2026.

Deepak Sapra has resigned as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of API & Services and Senior Management Personnel (SMP) of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited to pursue opportunities outside the company, effective November 12, 2026.

Sapra is a pharmaceutical industry executive who currently leads the Pharmaceutical Services and Active Ingredients (PSAI) business at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories. His responsibilities include overseeing the company’s API business, Aurigene Pharmaceutical Services (APSL), public health initiatives, and B2B collaborations.

Sapra joined Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories in 2003 after completing his studies at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Over the course of his career with the company, he has held leadership roles across marketing, sales, business development, and portfolio management, with experience spanning international markets.

Beyond his corporate career, Sapra published his first book in 2018 and co-founded a charitable trust supporting people with disabilities in eastern India. He has also been a Fulbright Fellow and Chevening Scholar.
