AU Small Finance Bank Appoints Anil Agarwal as Senior Executive Group Head

Anil Agarwal to Lead Commercial and Institutional Banking

The Board of Directors of AU Small Finance Bank Limited approved the appointment of Anil Agarwal as Senior Executive Group Head for Commercial and Institutional Banking on September 14, 2026. He will be classified as Senior Management Personnel (SMP).

Agarwal brings nearly 30 years of professional experience in banking and financial services. He spent more than two decades with Axis Bank where he held senior leadership positions across Financial Institutions, Government Business, Transaction Banking, Corporate Banking and Priority Sector Lending Strategy.

Before joining Axis Bank, Agarwal worked with IFCI in the areas of project finance and credit. His extensive experience covers corporate banking, institutional banking, transaction banking and financial services.

Agarwal is a Rank Holder Chartered Accountant and Cost and Management Accountant. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Lucknow University.
