Vodafone Idea Limited Names Manoj Murali as Chief Operating Officer, Effective October 19, 2026, Bringing Over 25 Years of Telecom and Mobility Leadership Experience

Vodafone Idea Limited has appointed Manoj Murali as its Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective October 19, 2026. Murali, 55, brings over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications and mobility sectors, with a track record of driving revenue growth, expanding market share and improving profitability across large-scale operations in India and Africa.

Throughout his career, Murali has led business turnarounds across sales, marketing, distribution, operations and customer experience. His experience spans multiple business segments, including mobile services, broadband, direct-to-home (DTH), payments banking, mobile commerce and digital businesses.

He has worked across business-to-consumer (B2C), business-to-business (B2B) and direct-to-consumer (D2C) models, giving him broad experience in managing diverse customer segments and business operations.

Before joining Vodafone Idea, Murali served as Chief Business Officer at Ola Electric. He has also held positions at Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, gaining extensive experience in India’s competitive telecommunications and digital services markets.

Murali holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Pune.

His appointment brings significant telecom industry expertise and operational leadership experience to Vodafone Idea as the company continues to focus on its business performance, customer experience and market position.
