Former oil and gas industry leader Nishi Vasudeva retires from the Board of HCL Technologies after completing her tenure as Independent Director.

Nishi Vasudeva has retired as an Independent Director of HCL Technologies Limited, with effect from July 31, 2026, following the completion of her tenure on the company’s Board.

Vasudeva is a distinguished corporate leader with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector. She made history as the first woman to lead an oil and gas company in India and has built a career spanning corporate strategy, enterprise resource management, retail and marketing, information systems, business transformation, margin management, and regulatory affairs.

Over the course of her career, Vasudeva has received several prestigious recognitions, including the Platts Global Energy Awards CEO of the Year in 2015, the SCOPE Individual Leadership Award for 2013–14, and the FICCI Exceptional Woman Achiever Award in 2014. She was also recognised among Fortune’s five Most Powerful Women in Asia Pacific in 2014.

Vasudeva holds a Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi.
