Hyundai Motor India Appoints Yogesh Wadhwa as Senior Management Personnel
Yogesh Wadhwa brings 26 years of experience in legal, compliance and corporate governance as Hyundai Motor India strengthens its senior management team
Hyundai Motor India Limited has appointed Yogesh Wadhwa as Senior Management Personnel (SMP), effective September 5, 2026. Wadhwa currently serves as General Counsel and Function Head for Legal and Corporate Governance at the company.
With 26 years of professional experience spanning legal affairs, regulatory matters, compliance, litigation and corporate governance, Wadhwa has held several significant leadership responsibilities during his career.
During his more than five years with Hyundai Motor India, Wadhwa has played an important role in several strategic initiatives. His contributions include supporting the company’s IPO readiness, overseeing legal aspects of the acquisition of the Pune plant and helping establish enterprise wide ethics and compliance frameworks.
Before joining Hyundai Motor India, Wadhwa held senior leadership roles at General Motors, Renault, Nissan, Halliburton, PwC and Fox Mandal. His professional experience includes working across India and the Middle East in areas covering corporate law, regulatory compliance, litigation and governance.
The company has also announced a change in its senior management structure. Amitabh Lal Das, Business Head and Chief Legal Officer, will cease to be part of Hyundai Motor India’s Senior Management Personnel effective September 30, 2026.
