Delhivery Elevates Vani Venkatesh To Deputy CEO As Ajith Pai To Exit
Delhivery promotes Chief Business Officer Vani Venkatesh to Deputy CEO, while COO Ajith Pai will step down on September 15, 2026, to pursue independent opportunities.
Delhivery Limited has elevated Chief Business Officer (CBO) Vani Venkatesh to Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Dy CEO) with immediate effect. Meanwhile, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Ajith Pai will leave the company on September 15, 2026, to pursue opportunities independently.
Venkatesh joined Delhivery in February 2025 as CBO and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP). In her role, she oversees revenue, marketing, and customer experience while working closely with the company’s operations teams.
Before joining Delhivery, Venkatesh held leadership positions at Airtel, McKinsey & Company, Unilever, and Abbott Nutrition. During her tenure at Airtel, she served as CEO of Global Business and CEO of the Delhi NCR region. She has also served on the Boards of Nxtra by Airtel and Bharti Telemedia.
With more than 20 years of experience across telecom, consulting, consumer goods, and healthcare, Venkatesh brings expertise in business strategy, growth, operations, and customer management to her new role.
Pai is a founding member of Delhivery and has held several leadership positions at the company, including Chief Financial Officer (CFO), before becoming COO. He joined Delhivery after working with Lodha Group, where he held roles across contracting, procurement, and materials management. Earlier, he worked as an Assistant Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
During his tenure at Delhivery, Pai contributed to shaping and executing the company’s logistics strategy, with a focus on technology and data science to improve operational efficiency. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Surathkal and a PGDM in General Management from IIM Bangalore.
